Matt has responsibilities for managing the firm’s technology and financial services verticals. Since joining Gateway in 2007, he has successfully managed 65+ client campaigns and scheduled 400+ investor marketing events. Matt has provided strategic communications counsel to clients on 50+ M&A transactions and $1+ billion in equity capital raises. Matt’s deep understanding of finance comes from his background in formulating business plans and capital formation strategies for private and public companies, as well as providing financial analysis for hedge funds, including Newport Micro.

Matt was also the co-founder of Purely, an Internet classified ads company. Earlier in his career, he led the acquisition and project management efforts for a Southern California-based residential real estate development company.

Matt earned his BBA from the Hilton School of Business at Loyola Marymount University. Matt is passionate about investing, emerging technologies, sports and family. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids.
