Cody has over 15 years of experience in investor relations, financial communications and corporate finance. He joined Gateway in 2008 and has managed 75+ client campaigns, providing strategic counsel on a wide range of corporate matters, including M&A transactions, equity and debt financings, shareholder activism and other crisis situations. Cody also leads Gateway’s SPAC team and has worked on over 40 different transactions since 2017.

Prior to Gateway, Cody worked in the consumer investment banking group at ROTH Capital, helping to execute a broad range of transactions including equity financings and sell-side M&A. Prior to ROTH, he worked as an analyst in the financial planning and analysis division of TRC Companies (formerly NYSE: TRR), a $400 million engineering, consulting and construction management services company. Cody began his career at B. Riley, covering consumer and retail apparel companies.

Cody earned his BS in finance from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California and was a Presidential Scholar. He lives in Newport Beach with his wife and four kids. In his spare time, Cody enjoys surfing, golfing and Angels baseball.
